David Ruescas has more than 10 years of experience in the areas of secure voting, e-democracy and e-participation. He has advised organizations and government institutions on the application of technology to consultation and governance, with a special emphasis on privacy and security.

Coming from a background in physics, David has practical experience with cryptography, algorithms and software engineering. Through his company nVotes, co-founded in 2014, he has contributed to the development of open source, secure voting systems used by more than 2 million users across different countries. David has also developed pioneering work in direct democracy, privacy & e-participation, secure liquid democracy and blockchain voting.

Besides his core R&D work at nVotes, David is available for consulting, research and public speaking.
